Building a Balanced Meal

Where this site describes a combination of dishes as “balanced,” that description is based on clearly disclosed nutritional criteria — not a subjective or promotional label. This page sets out that criteria.

What “balanced” means on this site

A meal combination described as balanced on this site combines a protein source, a carbohydrate source, and at least one vegetable-forward element, without relying on a single very large or very small dish to hit a headline calorie number. It is a structural description of the meal, not a claim about suitability for any particular diet, medical condition, or nutritional target — those are individual and should be discussed with a qualified professional where relevant.

What this page is not

This is not dietary or medical advice, and it is not a claim that any specific combination is the “healthiest” option on the menu in absolute terms. Wagamama’s menu is not primarily built around calorie-counting or macro targets, and this site does not present it as such.

Building your own combination

The high-protein choices and lower-calorie choices pages cover how those two specific criteria are approached, and can be combined with a side from sides & shareables to round out a meal. See the dietary guide for allergen and free-from considerations, which are handled separately from calorie or protein criteria.
